Infection Preventionist, RN

About the role

The RN Infection Preventionist works in a long‑term care facility to promote infection prevention through surveillance, ensuring adherence to infection control standards, and monitoring reporting data on facility‑acquired infections and control measures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with surveillance throughout the facility to promote infection prevention.
• Ensure adherence to infection control standards, policies, and procedures.
• Review and monitor reporting data regarding facility‑acquired infections, treatments, and control measures.

Qualifications

• Current South Carolina RN license.
• Superior communication skills and ability to be an effective leader.
• Flexible, caring, compassionate, and a team player.
• Prior experience in infection control preferred.
• Prior experience in long‑term care or skilled nursing facility preferred.
