Responsibilities
- Leading and driving safety and quality performance improvement initiatives to provide ongoing education and address trends and deficiencies in Infection Prevention practices.
- Setting standards for Piedmont-owned physician office practices based on PHC QSS.
- Managing and supporting a portfolio of strategic projects using the performance improvement model.
- Ensuring all performance improvement activities comply with regulatory and accreditation bodies.
- Assisting in annual evaluations of infection prevention practices in Piedmont-owned physician office practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate from a nursing program or Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology or Masters degree in Microbiology, Public Heath, Biology, Epidemiology, or other related science field.
- Work Experience: 4 years of previous work experience in a hospital setting, clinical quality, or performance improvement, preferably in infection prevention OR two (2) years of previous work experience with a Masters degree.
- Licenses and Certifications: RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNLC Multistate License upon hire, if the degree is in nursing; ASCP - American Society of Clinical Pathologist certification, MTA - Medical Technologist Certification AMT (American Medical Technologists) or AAB (American Association of Bioanalysts) certification, CIC - Certified in Infection Control certification, CPHQ - Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality certification, or Lean Six Sigma Certification-IASSC Lean Six Sigma Healthcare or QPI Certifications Green and/or Black Belt certification.
