Responsibilities

• Provides related education to staff, patients and visitors as needed.
• Conducts rounding, audits, tracers, and just-in-time education.
• Performs daily surveillance and reporting.
• Participates in root cause analyses and strategic meetings regarding infection prevention initiatives.

Qualifications

• Education Required: Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field.
• Experience Required: 2 years working in an acute care facility or 2 years working in Infection Prevention in a non-acute care setting. Preferred: 1 year working in Infection Prevention in an acute care setting.
• Certifications Required: AHA BLS. Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) within 2 years of hire.
