Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated Infection Preventionist to support our infection prevention and control efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and track infection prevention and control programs.
- Aid in outbreak investigations, including interviews and documentation.
- Collect and analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Help plan and deliver training and educational programs on infection control.
- Maintain up-to-date infection case dashboards and reports.
- Monitor and follow national and state infection prevention standards (e.g., CDC, NHSN).
- Conduct site visits to assess compliance with infection prevention practices.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in infection prevention, quality management, or related field.
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) – must be obtained within 24 months of hire.
- One of the following education/experience combinations:
- Master's in Nursing, Public Health, Epidemiology, or related + 2 years healthcare experience (1 in infection control or similar).
- Bachelor's in Nursing, Public Health, Microbiology, or related + 4 years healthcare experience (3 in infection control or similar).
- RN License + 6 years healthcare experience (5 in infection control or similar).
- No degree + 7 years healthcare experience (at least 5 in infection control or similar).
Preferred Skills & Knowledge
- Understanding of CDC, NHSN standards, and hospital infection surveillance.
- Experience with healthcare compliance, patient safety, risk management.
- Proficiency in data analysis and trend reporting.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
Additional Information
Job Type: Full-time, Individual Contributor.
Travel: Not required.
Bonus: 7.5% annual based on performance.
