Infection Prevention Specialist
About the role
The Infection Prevention Specialist position at Providence St. Jude Medical Center, Fullerton, CA is full-time and works 10-hour day shifts.
Responsibilities
- Work autonomously as an Infection Prevention Practitioner
- Implement and enforce infection prevention policies and procedures
- Conduct surveillance and monitoring activities to identify potential infections
- Develop and implement infection control plans
- Provide guidance and training to staff on infection prevention practices
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with infection control standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field
- Within 1 year of hire: National Certified in Infection Control - Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (Facility Managed)
- 2 years of healthcare experience; 4 years preferred
- 2 years of Epidemiology or Infection Prevention experience; 4 years preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field

Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. The base pay range is $47.05 - $73.04 per hour.
Schedule
The Infection Prevention Specialist works full time on a 10-hour day shift.
