Infection Control Infection Preventionist

Role: Infection Preventionist responsible for leading system-wide infection prevention and control initiatives. Key Responsibilities Conduct surveillance and analyze infection data to identify trends and areas for improvement.Drive performance improvement efforts to reduce healthcare-associated infections.Develop, update, and implement infection prevention policies and procedures.Educate clinical staff on infection control practices and ensure compliance with standards.Collaborate with clinical teams, including cardiology, to promote a culture of patient safety.Ensure adherence to CDC, OSHA, CMS, and Joint Commission regulations. Qualifications & Skills Knowledge of infection prevention protocols and healthcare regulations.Strong analytical skills for data surveillance and reporting.Excellent communication and staff education abilities.Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.Commitment to patient safety and continuous improvement in healthcare settings.
