What You'll Need
- Must have a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with an Infant/Toddler endorsement, or be willing to obtain the credential within the required timeframe. Equivalent early childhood education coursework that meets Head Start requirements may also be considered.
- Willingness and enthusiasm to work directly with and support children in a hands-on classroom environment
- Previous experience in a classroom environment, preferred
What You'll Do
- Deliver safe and developmentally appropriate learning experiences through active supervision that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Create a culture of safety by effectively implementing and maintaining classroom curriculum, routines, and assessments
- Engage families as active partners in their child development through communication, home visits, conferences, and transition plans
- Ensure inclusive learning by supporting children with special needs or IEPs and implementing positive support plans in alignment with program policies
- Collaborate with teaching staff to strengthen classroom practices and overall program quality
Who We Are
Rural Utah Child Development (RUCD) is a comprehensive child development program designed to meet the educational, emotional, social, and health needs of children. The RUCD team works well together to provide strong support and leadership, creating a consistent and quality learning environment. Children receive individualized lesson plans with developmentally appropriate learning experiences, and families are involved with their children's education while they receive assistance with personal goals, parenting information, and leadership through parent committees and Policy Council.
