Infant Teacher
About the role
The Children's Center is seeking an Infant Teacher to care for children 6 weeks to 18 months for our fall program starting the end of August 2026. This is a full-time position, 32+ hours per week, and includes center benefits. The position reports to the Infant/Toddler Coordinator and requires flexibility with schedule and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision and care of children.
- Collaborate with Infant and Toddler team members.
- Understand infant development and create a nurturing, safe, and clean environment.
- Work with infant families to meet their needs and provide the best care.
- Offer age-appropriate learning activities.
- Communicate effectively with families.
- Attend professional development opportunities and staff meetings.
- Participate in strengthen families or other volunteer activities (encouraged but not required).
Requirements
- At least two years of relevant early childhood experience (preferred).
- Meet state requirements for an ECE Infant Teacher.
- Associates degree preferred; minimum of 9 ECE credits required.
Nice to Haves
- CPR/AED/First Aid Certification.
