What You'll Do
Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child development and the ability to create a stimulating and supportive environment for our young learners.
- Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and engaging learning environment by implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and practices.
- Social and emotional development: Supporting the social and emotional development of our children through positive guidance and relationship-building.
- Communication: Maintaining open communication with families through regular updates and involvement in their child's learning journey.
- Collaboration: Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a well-run and purposeful program that meets the needs of our children and families.
Requirements
- Required Education and Training:
- Associates or Bachelors in Early Childhood Education, Education or Child Development
- Must have experience in a childcare center with ages 6 weeks to 3 years
- Must complete and maintain First Aid certifications and medication training and be responsible for obtaining state licensing required continuing education units.
- Required to complete and maintain CPR certification.
- In compliance with NAEYC guidelines, must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
- Nice to Have:
- A Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field.
- Experience working in a NAEYC-accredited child care program, particularly with children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.
- Knowledge of and experience with CT ELDS, DOTS, and NAEYC standards and criteria.
- Experience independently implementing curriculum and promoting a child-centered approach.
