What You'll Do

Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child development and the ability to create a stimulating and supportive environment for our young learners.

  • Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and engaging learning environment by implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and practices.
  • Social and emotional development: Supporting the social and emotional development of our children through positive guidance and relationship-building.
  • Communication: Maintaining open communication with families through regular updates and involvement in their child's learning journey.
  • Collaboration: Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a well-run and purposeful program that meets the needs of our children and families.

Requirements

  • Required Education and Training:
    • Associates or Bachelors in Early Childhood Education, Education or Child Development
    • Must have experience in a childcare center with ages 6 weeks to 3 years
    • Must complete and maintain First Aid certifications and medication training and be responsible for obtaining state licensing required continuing education units.
    • Required to complete and maintain CPR certification.
    • In compliance with NAEYC guidelines, must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
  • Nice to Have:
    • A Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field.
    • Experience working in a NAEYC-accredited child care program, particularly with children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.
    • Knowledge of and experience with CT ELDS, DOTS, and NAEYC standards and criteria.
    • Experience independently implementing curriculum and promoting a child-centered approach.
