Infant Room Teachers

About The Role

Works primarily in the infant classroom with daily indoor and outdoor activities in a fast-paced, child-centered environment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting (lead teacher experience preferred).
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Completion of all required KDHE training and annual professional development requirements.
• Demonstrated knowledge of infant development and age-appropriate caregiving practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds and actively participate in all aspects of classroom care, including lifting, carrying, bending, sitting on the floor, and outdoor supervision.
• Able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Must successfully pass all required background checks and health assessments in accordance with KDHE regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Montessori training or certification.
• Experience leading a classroom and mentoring assistant teachers.
• Familiarity with Brightwheel or other childcare management software.
• Passion for child-led learning and family-centered care.
