About This Role We are seeking a reliable, warm, and dedicated Infant Room Closer to join our childcare team in Naugatuck, CT. In this role, you will provide a safe, nurturing environment for our youngest children during the late afternoon and evening hours, ensuring a smooth end-of-day transition for families. What You'll Do Maintain a safe, clean, and peaceful environment for infants during evening pickup hours.Provide attentive care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting infants as needed.Greet parents warmly during pickup and provide clear, positive daily updates about their child's afternoon.Complete evening closing duties, including sanitizing toys, cleaning surfaces, and preparing the room for the next day.Adhere strictly to all state childcare licensing regulations and safety procedures. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent.Proven experience working with infants or toddlers in a licensed childcare setting.Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting required by Connecticut law.Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor with parents and staff.CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it immediately upon hire. Nice To Haves Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or coursework in Early Childhood Education.Knowledge of Connecticut state childcare licensing regulations.Prior experience handling closing procedures at a daycare or preschool facility.
