Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plan activities appropriate to the child’s age and developmental level
• Meet the individual needs of the children
• Professional parent communication
• Participate in staff and training meetings
• Design an appropriate room arrangement to support classroom goals and developmental levels
• Interact with children to support play, exploration, and learning
• Set and present age- and developmentally-appropriate expectations
• Support a team environment
• Use assessment tools
• Commit to continuing education

Requirements

• High School Diploma (required)
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (or child-related degree) preferred but not required
• Current CDA or Early Childhood Teaching Credential preferred but not required
• Currently enrolled in a CDA or degreed program preferred but not required
