Under the direct supervision of the Manager of Newborn Screening Programs, you will perform auditory screening of newborns, ensuring that these services are consistent with the philosophy, goals and standards of quality of the American Speech and Hearing Association, as well as the NYS DOH Newborn Hearing Screening Regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform newborn infant hearing screenings using Otoacoustic Emissions and Auditory Brainstem response equipment
- Document screening results into patient chart using the hospital based electronic medical record
- Communicate directly and share complete information with families in order to have them effectively participate in care and decision making
Schedule
This is a full-time, day shift position located at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Hours can be flexible with start time and will include rotating weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Data entry skills in computer database
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail
Pay
Salary Range $27.25-$32.70/Hourly
