Industry Relations Director

Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is seeking an Industry Relations Director to join their client's team in Pasadena, California. The position oversees labor relations across the company and its subsidiaries, which have over 120 union agreements nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Monitor industry trends, pending labor legislation, and shifting agreement language to ensure competitiveness and compliance.
• Serve as the primary subject matter expert and resource for company leaders regarding agreement interpretations and labor relations solutions.
• Collaborate across departments to develop solutions for union labor issues.
• Develop, lead, and mentor a team supporting union labor relations.
• Manage and maintain professional relationships with unions, employer groups, and labor authorities.
• Lead, negotiate, and oversee more than 120 union agreements.
• Review and mitigate non-standard or problematic clauses in CBAs and MOUs.
• Coordinate with negotiating committees and provide data and language recommendations.
• Represent the company in grievance and arbitration proceedings.
• Monitor labor issues and trends to proactively develop strategies.
• Ensure compliance with labor agreements regarding non-union subcontractors.
• Develop crisis management communication strategies.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Labor Relations, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of leadership experience in Labor Relations or Human Resources.
• Experience in negotiation preparation, bargaining, and administration of Collective Bargaining Agreements.

Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary with a range from $158,000 to $208,000 per year. It includes up to 40% travel and provides an opportunity for significant impact and growth within the organization.

• The role is a supervisory position with significant travel, approximately 40% of the time.
