About the role
The Security division of Frost & Sullivan provides organizations with up-to-date market intelligence that enables our clients to take advantage of the rapid pace of technology and business model evolution in global markets. This is an exciting opportunity for an Industry Analyst to play a key role in the growth of the global cybersecurity market research and consulting team.
Responsibilities
- Be a core member of the cybersecurity market research team, delivering value via strategic research, client engagement, and social media outreach.
- Develop powerful, actionable strategic recommendations, and insightful, up-to-date market intelligence based on a profound understanding of the cybersecurity industry, technologies, and services that security vendors sell into the enterprise market.
- Maintain strong business relationships via proactive outreach to security vendors, regularly participate in briefings with security vendors, conduct detailed business needs analysis for Frost & Sullivan clients, and ensure the translation of client strategic business needs into one or more Frost & Sullivan research solutions.
- Contribute to cybersecurity consulting projects and utilize defined market research and analytical practices in a team-focused environment.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
- Demonstrate an enthusiastic curiosity about the critical role cybersecurity plays in enabling businesses in every industry.
- Have a proactive, methodical, and innovative approach, with the ability to deliver accurate, high impact results in a fast-paced team-focused environment.
- Previous experience in a market/industry research role.
- An analytical thought process, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills and business level fluency in English.
- The organizational skills and ability to develop a coherent story about what is happening in a market.
- An understanding of consulting/research/investigative journalism methodologies and business modeling (primary/secondary research, strategy development/implementation/coherent story development, and consulting best practices/processes).
- A fast learner who can quickly demonstrate understanding of the Security industry, its structure, operational practices, business functionalities, and competitive landscape.
- A desire and enthusiasm to build expertise in the cybersecurity domain.
- Ability to proactively forge and maintain security vendor relationships.
- A commercially astute enthusiasm for supporting the company’s business development initiatives.
- A desire to become a public speaker with the ability to interactively present to an executive audience and defend the research and its conclusions in a professional manner.
- A team player with a deep understanding about why collaboration is the key to business success, an ability to work across all of Frost & Sullivan’s industry practices in a collaborative fashion to deliver our unique cross vertical market intelligence and consulting solutions.
- A degree level education or equivalent experience within a relevant related discipline, e.g.: Journalism, business administration, sociology, anthropology, psychology, market research, market intelligence, or consulting.
- A relevant post graduate qualification (MA, MBA) or equivalent experience, e.g.: Market intelligence, market research analyst, consulting, or journalism focused on business issues, advisory services, and/or consulting.
