About the role
Boom Supersonic is building the Overture supersonic airliner and the Superpower natural gas turbine, requiring a network of world-class suppliers to produce critical hardware. This role involves direct interaction with suppliers to ensure they can consistently meet Boom's technical and delivery requirements.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with suppliers producing castings, forgings, machined parts, and assemblies to ensure they meet Boom's technical and delivery requirements.
- Travel to supplier facilities to diagnose manufacturing problems, drive root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Lead technical problem solving between suppliers and Boom teams across engineering, quality, and supply chain.
- Improve supplier production processes—from tooling and manufacturing flow to inspection and process control.
- Build strong relationships with key suppliers while maintaining a high bar for performance.
- Support the company's Los Angeles, Midwest (Detroit and Cincinnati), and Northeast (Connecticut) territories.
Requirements
- Strong technical background in manufacturing processes, preferably in aerospace or similar demanding industries.
- Experience leading technical problem solving and driving process improvements.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex manufacturing issues.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, often on short notice.
Qualifications
- Typically 5 - 10 years of experience, with P3 level compensation range of $107,000 – $135,000.
- Typically 10 - 15 years of experience, with P4 level compensation range of $133,000 – $169,000.
- Typically 15+ years of experience, with P5 level compensation range of $160,000 – $203,000.
Skills
- Technical expertise in manufacturing processes, particularly in aerospace or similar demanding industries.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
- P3 Level - Base salary range: $107,000 – $135,000
- P4 Level - Base salary range: $133,000 – $169,000
- P5 Level - Base salary range: $160,000 – $203,000
