Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor facilities water and wastewater equipment
- Maintain compliance with facilities strict quality and uptime requirements
- Collaborate with key internal and 3rd party stakeholders on ways to improve efficiency, quality and reliability of water and wastewater systems
- Collect samples and perform routine laboratory analysis
- Inspect equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs or operational issues
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and records of plant operations
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permit requirements
- Respond to alarms, equipment malfunctions, and emergency situations as needed
- Suggest and implement improvements to maintenance processes and equipment to enhance reliability and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in an industrial setting
- Experience working with pumps, motors, blowers, compressors
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to read P&IDs, operating procedures, and technical manuals
- Basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Industrial water or wastewater treatment experience preferred
- Familiarity with SCADA/DCS systems
- Mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation troubleshooting experience
- Knowledge of environmental regulations
- Engineering degree or technical training in industrial maintenance, environmental technology, or a related field preferred
Work Schedule
The Industrial Water & Wastewater Treatment Technician works a 2-3-2 pitman schedule, rotating days and nights every 2 weeks with flexibility to work, overtime, and weekends as needed to support production schedules and maintenance needs.
Pay
The range for this position is $23.00 hourly rate - $35.00 hourly rate. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
