Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, commissioning, and optimization of industrial wastewater collection and treatment systems to solve complex water‑quality, compliance, and operational challenges.
- Serve as the process technical lead on multidisciplinary projects, guiding treatment technology selection, hydraulics, utility integration, and overall system performance.
- Develop innovative treatment solutions through treatability studies, process modeling, mass balances, hydraulic evaluations, and pilot testing to support informed client decisions.
- Partner with industrial clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders to navigate permitting requirements, maintain environmental compliance, and deliver practical, implementation‑ready solutions.
- Direct technical teams in preparing treatment alternatives, cost estimates, construction documents, operating procedures, and other project deliverables from concept through startup.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients by troubleshooting existing systems, identifying opportunities for optimization, and supporting business development through proposals, presentations, and strategic project planning.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental, chemical, or mechanical engineering
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (ideal) or ability to obtain within 3 months
- 10 + years of experience designing water or wastewater solutions
- Demonstrated experience interfacing with clients and successfully leading teams within multi‑discipline projects
- Previous engineering experience working with food and beverage industries
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to effectively manage multiple initiatives
- Ability to travel as required for project/client responsibilities
- Ability to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk up to 3 miles on uneven terrain
- Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods
- Occasional climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and twisting
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate weights; may be required to lift up to 20 lb (rarely up to 50 lb)
- Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify errors, problems, or defects
- May be required to wear personal protective equipment (e.g., flame‑resistant clothing, hard hat, protective footwear)
- May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload
- May be required to travel to off‑site locations, including occasional overnight stays out of town
