About the role
HDR is seeking an Industrial Wastewater (IWW) Program Lead - Oil, Gas, and Chemicals Practice. This role involves leading business development, managing teams, and designing complex industrial process wastewater systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead business development of IWW services for the Oil, Gas, and Chemicals Practice in North America.
- Develop and deliver technical presentations, pursue interviews, and support client relationships.
- Collaborate with other business development teams and act as a technical advisor on strategic projects.
- Support client development and project positioning as a senior process engineering advisor.
- Conduct site visits, gather technical information, and support project closeout.
- Perform process design sizing, hydraulic calculations, and prepare design criteria, equipment specifications, and reports.
- Lead the development of process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and installation details.
- Oversee the review and evaluation of equipment vendor and installation contractor proposals.
- Implement and manage QA/QC plans and lead technical teams.
- Work directly with project managers and clients to ensure project success.
- Create water supply and discharge agreements and permits, and coordinate with permitting authorities.
- Provide training on industrial process wastewater systems.
- Implement and support company policies and actively participate in industry conferences.
- Publish at least one technical paper annually.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of direct experience with industrial water/wastewater (W/WW) treatment systems for the Oil, Gas, and Chemicals Industries.
- Experience in development and management of diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications
- Process modeling experience.
- Existing relationships with industrial clients.
- Project engineering and management experience in a consulting or EPC firm.
