Industrial Wastewater Program Lead - Oil, Gas and Chemicals Practice
About the role
HDR is seeking an Industrial Wastewater (IWW) Program Lead - Oil, Gas, and Chemicals Practice. This role involves leading business development, managing projects, and providing technical leadership for complex industrial process wastewater systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead Business Development of IWW Services for our Oil, Gas, and Chemicals Practice in North America.
- Develop business development activities including proposal development, technical presentations, pursuit interviews, and supporting client relationships.
- Collaborate with other business development teams.
- Provide technical leadership for front-end oriented projects, including business case studies and DBM’s.
- Support client development and project positioning as senior process engineering advisor.
- Conduct site visits to gather relevant technical information, support construction and commissioning, and project closeout.
- Perform or oversee process design sizing and hydraulic calculations, including mass balances, water treatment system conceptual designs, and calculations to determine required equipment and tank sizes and capacities.
- Develop design criteria, equipment and procurement specifications, studies, bid evaluations, and reports.
- Create recommendations for client facility standard monitoring systems, procedures, lab/chemical/reagent management, and staff training.
- Implement, monitor, and support company policies.
- Participate in industry conferences and publish at least one technical paper annually.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of direct experience with industrial water/wastewater (W/WW) treatment systems for the Oil, Gas, and Chemicals Industries.
- Experience with existing relationships with industrial clients.
- Project engineering and management experience in a consulting or EPC firm.
Qualifications
- Professional or Engineering registration and related technical experience.
- Works cooperatively with other business class regional directors, operations managers, technical directors, and marketing managers on business class efforts.

Pay
The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location. The pay range for this position in North America is $170,000 - $230,000.
