About the role

HDR is seeking an Industrial Wastewater (IWW) Program Lead - Oil, Gas, and Chemicals Practice. This role involves leading business development, managing projects, and providing technical leadership for complex industrial process wastewater systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Business Development of IWW Services for our Oil, Gas, and Chemicals Practice in North America.
  • Develop business development activities including proposal development, technical presentations, pursuit interviews, and supporting client relationships.
  • Collaborate with other business development teams and act as a strategic advisor on projects.
  • Support the technical team in understanding client needs, developing creative solutions, and leading detailed design and owner’s engineer projects.
  • Conduct site visits, gather relevant technical information, support construction and commissioning, and manage project closeouts.
  • Perform process design sizing and hydraulic calculations, develop design criteria, and oversee equipment and procurement specifications.
  • Create process flow diagrams, P&IDs, general arrangement drawings, and installation details.
  • Oversee the development of water supply and discharge agreements and permits.
  • Provide internal and external training on industrial process wastewater systems.
  • Implement, monitor, and support company policies.
  • Create recommendations for client facility standard monitoring systems, procedures, lab/chemical/reagent management, and staff training.
  • Participate in industry conferences and publish at least one technical paper annually.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of direct experience with industrial water/wastewater (W/WW) treatment systems for the Oil, Gas, and Chemicals Industries.
  • Experience with existing relationships with industrial clients.
  • Project engineering and management experience in a consulting or EPC firm.

Qualifications

  • Professional or Engineering registration and related technical experience.
  • Experienced in development and management of diverse teams.
  • Works cooperatively with other business class regional directors, operations managers, technical directors, and marketing managers.

Pay

The expected compensation range for this position depends on skills, experience, education, and geographical location. The pay range for this position in North America is $170,000 - $230,000.
