About the role
HDR is seeking an Industrial Wastewater (IWW) Program Lead - Oil, Gas, and Chemicals Practice. This role involves leading business development, managing teams, and designing complex industrial process wastewater systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead business development of IWW services for the Oil, Gas, and Chemicals practice in North America.
- Develop and deliver technical presentations, pursue interviews, and support client relationships.
- Collaborate with other business development teams and act as a strategic advisor on projects.
- Support the technical team in understanding client needs, developing solutions, and leading detailed design projects.
- Manage project execution, including site visits, permit coordination, and client communication.
- Implement and manage QA/QC plans, and oversee the development of process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and installation details.
- Provide training and support for staff on industrial process wastewater systems.
- Participate in industry conferences and publish technical papers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of direct experience with industrial water/wastewater (W/WW) treatment systems for the Oil, Gas, and Chemicals Industries.
- Experience in project engineering and management in a consulting or EPC firm.
- Professional or Engineering registration and related technical experience.
- Experience working with existing relationships with industrial clients.
- Ability to lead diverse teams and work cooperatively with other business class regional directors, operations managers, technical directors, and marketing managers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Process modeling experience.
- Existing relationships with industrial clients.
- Project engineering and management experience in a consulting or EPC firm.

Pay
The expected compensation range for this position in North America is $170,000 - $230,000, depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
