Industrial Wastewater Plant Manager

About the role

Woodard & Curran is seeking a qualified Industrial Wastewater Plant Manager in Atlanta, Georgia to oversee the treatment of wastewater from a food & beverage manufacturing facility. This role involves leading staff in day-to-day operations, maintenance, administrative duties, and client communications within an inclusive, collaborative, and employee-owned firm.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day operations and management of the wastewater treatment facilities, including provision of trained staff 24/7.
• Management of the remote communications network and assigned SCADA system.
• Implementation and management of a predictive maintenance program.
• Administration of routine and capital repair/replacement projects.
• Emergency response for process upsets, equipment failures, force majeure events, and alarm events.
• Provision of operations and compliance reporting to regulatory agencies and the municipality.
• Coordination and communication with staff, client representatives, contractors, and engineering firms to ensure effective system operation and optimization.
• Performing hands-on work and producing required reports.
• Overseeing the daily operation of the utility system.

Requirements

• High School Degree or equivalent.
• Valid Georgia Driver’s License.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in wastewater treatment facilities, including laboratory experience.
• Ability to make sound decisions in process control and follow safety procedures.
• Experience overseeing a budget of $1.0 million or more.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven track record with regulators.
• Industrial wastewater treatment experience is helpful but not required.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis.

Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check, pre-placement physical, and drug screen before employment.

Pay

$70,858 - $90,000 a year. The pay range for this position is based on experience and licensure. This role is salaried with overtime pay for hours worked over 40 per week.
