Responsibilities

  • Responsible to follow all procedures & policies regarding repairs & maintenance.
  • Responsible to complete assigned tasks and projects in a highly effective, efficient, and safe manner.
  • Supports high performance in a professional healthcare & hospitality laundry environment through cleanliness and infection prevention.
  • Works in conjunction with operations to keep equipment operating at a high level of efficiency.
  • Ability to trouble shoot any mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems.
  • Projects and tasks may include, but are not limited to: Industrial equipment repair and/or maintenance, Construction type tasks (painting, patching holes, etc.), Electrical, Plumbing, Electronics.

Physical / Mental Requirements

  • Position is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Position is regularly required to walk, sit, climb, or balance, talk, and hear.
  • Position is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Wage Information

  • The wage is no less than $26.00 per hour.
  • Overtime pay starts at $39.00 per hour.
  • A higher rate than $26.00 may be offered, the overtime rate will be calculated 1.5X the offered hourly rate.
  • The Company's pay period starts on a Sunday and ends on a Saturday.
  • A single work week will be used to compute the wages due.
  • The payroll period is weekly, and workers are paid on the following Thursday after the end of the pay period.
  • Rate increases and/or bonuses may be offered at the Company's discretion, based on individual factors such as performance, skill, and tenure.

Work Environment

The working environment is typical of an industrial facility including noise and vibration. An employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. Personal Protective Equipment will be required for certain tasks.

Safety

  • All employees are responsible for their personal safety and safety of others.
  • Participate fully in company health and safety programs and comply with all company OSHA policies and procedures.
  • Follow all lawful employer safety and health rules.
  • Wear and / or use Personal Protective Equipment, when and how instructed.
  • Report hazardous conditions to management.
  • Report any job-related injury or illness to management and seek treatment promptly.
