Industrial Security Analyst
About the role
Northrop Grumman seeks an Industrial Security Analyst 2 to develop and administer security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. This role involves studying and implementing federal security regulations, obtaining rulings and acceptable deviations from government agencies, managing program security compliance, conducting security education classes, and investigating security violations.
Responsibilities
- Review and verify personnel security clearances and SAP accesses through queries to government security databases and systems.
- Generate and/or review Program Access Request (PAR) packages; ensure all required information is included including currency of information, completeness of forms, and inclusion of required signatures.
- Generate Program Indoctrination Agreements (PIA), provide to briefer/debriefer, and/or execute briefs/debriefs on behalf of the government security team.
- Maintain accountability of classified material or classified media as required by contract(s).
- Develop, document, and present classified security education, awareness, and training activities.
- Analyze, investigate, and resolve classified security issues while providing leadership and guidance to employees, supervisors, managers on actions(s) to be taken to ensure compliance with the classified security program.
- Maintain liaison with government agencies, external customers, contractors, employees, and managers.
- Implement policies and procedures for responding to security incidents, and for investigating and reporting security violations and incidents.
Requirements
- 2+ years of Industrial Security experience or relevant with a Bachelors degree, 0 years with a Masters degree; an additional four years of applicable work may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
- Candidate must be a US Citizen.
- Must have an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance with in-scope investigation (T5, T5R, SSBI, SBPR, PR) completed within the last 5 years or current enrollment in Continuous Evaluation (CE) program.
- Ability to meet enhanced security requirements and obtain/maintain SAP eligibility and access.
- Knowledge of the Department of Defense Manual 5205.07, ICD-705, and/or SEAD reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but 2+ years of Industrial Security experience or relevant with a Bachelors degree, 0 years with a Masters degree, or an additional four years of applicable work may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree, is required.
- Active Top-Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain SAP access is required.
- Experience with DISS, NISS, SIMS, JADE, or similar databases is preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills are required.
- Ability to work independently and follow projects through to completion is required.
- Strong working knowledge of basic office automation tool suites such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is preferred.
Skills

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $75,800.00 - $113,800.00. Overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay may also be offered. Long Term Incentives may be available for employees in Vice President or Director positions.
