Industrial Plant Maintenance Worker (Nights)

About the role

The Kelly Group is seeking an Industrial Plant Maintenance Worker (NIGHTS) for work in Decatur, Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment maintenance on various types of mechanical equipment, including belt conveyors, bucket elevators, drag chains, grain cleaners, screw conveyors, etc.
• Show familiarity with different types of bearings and setting tolerances and taper locks
• Perform rigging and hoisting to properly move materials via the use of cranes and/or hand signaling to an operator
• Demonstrate the ability to complete work using safe work practices
• Dismantling / installation of machines, structures and equipment using appropriate tools

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 to 3 years of plant maintenance experience in a grain handling and/or processing environment
• This position will work nights

Qualifications

• Capable of performing welding (SMAW) work and using a torch
• Plant and preventive maintenance experience
• Industrial construction experience
• Ability to align shafts utilizing a laser alignment tool
• Ability to perform belt splicing and maintenance for conveyors and bucket elevators
