Industrial Painter - Shop Tech

About the role

Voith Turbo is hiring a Shop Technician I in York, PA. This is a day shift position with a standard four 10-hour workday schedule (Tuesday-Friday, 6:00am - 4:30pm).

Responsibilities

• Industrial manufacturing painting experience: HVLP spray guns, gravity-feed guns, cup guns, p-mix system
• Color matching and paint mixing
• Paint prep, industrial painting, and some light mechanical assembly work
• Repairs and assembly utilizing various power and hand tools
• Blueprint reading for assembly processes
• Use of micrometers, calipers, and tape measures
• Machine operation (set up, adjustments, and maintenance)
• Utilize crane/hoist, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools
• Troubleshoot equipment reliability issues

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 1-3 years of related experience with industrial painting
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment
• Mechanical assembly skills
• Proficiency with hand, electrical, and air-operated shop tools
• Knowledge of shop practices, machines, and related equipment
• Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks effectively
• Ability to analyze problems and develop solutions independently or with teams
• Basic computer skills

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time
• Must have manual dexterity to assemble products or machines as directed
• Must have excellent hand-eye coordination
• Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components
• Must wear gloves and ear protection

Pay

$24.00 - $26.00 per hour depending on experience.
