Industrial Painter

About the role

Apply coatings to prepared surfaces according to Shop and/or Customer Specifications.

Responsibilities

• Extensively gather surface preparation specifications for projects.
• Communicate with internal and external customers (including but not limited to engineers, Quality Control representatives, paint representatives, and other vendors/employees).
• Fill out paint reports and procedures for surface preparation specifications.
• Safely work around the shop area with little direction while maintaining precautions of passing forklifts, trucks, etc.

Requirements

• Experience with industrial painting; experience with Inorganic Zinc preferred.
• Ability to wear a full-face respirator for long periods of time.

• Able to work under stress and handle multiple priorities.
• Able to perform mathematical calculations related to job requirements.

• Able to maintain and process job-related paperwork effectively.

Physical Requirements

• Able to go up and down stairs.
• Able to communicate effectively.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Able to walk long distances in possible harsh weather conditions to office, taking caution from the hazards that come with a manufacturing facility.
• Able to operate a computer, telephone, and other office equipment.
• Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while engaged in Company duties.
• Able to work overtime as required.
