About the role
This role is critical to ensuring the quality and appearance of John Zink's products through precision painting and coating processes. It is a first shift position, Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm, with some overtime and weekend work required.
Responsibilities
- Operate spray guns to apply primer and finish coatings to a wide range of parts and product assemblies
- Mask surfaces and prepare parts to achieve smooth, even finishes that meet quality standards
- Load and/or unload parts from racks
- Maintain spray guns in serviceable condition (as well as paint booths)
- Operate blasting equipment to properly prepare surfaces prior to coating
Requirements
- Experience with industrial painting, paint quality testing and documentation
- Experience with blasting in an industrial environment
- Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship
Qualifications
- Experience with carbon-zinc paints and other industrial coatings
- Experience with different types of industrial coatings (epoxy, urethane, powder coating, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret paint specifications, including mil thickness
- Experience preparing materials for paint
Skills
- Physical ability to work in an industrial environment with varied temperatures
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Complete respirator fit test

Pay
The actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided considering each candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
