About the Role
Painters use various painting techniques including wet paint spraying and other methods on metal parts. Material preparation such as sand blasting, cleaning, and masking is required.
Responsibilities
- Paint and apply finishing coats in accordance with blueprints and/or customer specifications.
- Set-up and maintain work areas and operate painting equipment in accordance with safety procedures.
- Ensure that all components are produced/coated efficiently and are consistent with company established goals for quality and customer order on-time performance.
- Load and unload parts or products onto fixtures.
- Maintain clean work areas, tool repair, and equipment inventory.
- Inspect paint jobs and materials, adjust colors, and fix defects.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an Industrial Painter in a Manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with epoxy paint is a plus; experience with epoxy & zinc is an even greater plus.
- Experience with Airless paint sprayers.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Ability to stand/walk 95% of the workday.
- Carry/lift up to 45 pounds with assistance of cranes and/or coworkers.
- Squat, twist, reach, climb, and bend frequently.
- Ability to push/pull up to 75 pounds with assistance of cranes and/or coworkers.
- Possess hand/eye coordination and bilateral dexterity (gross and fine).
- Possess depth perception and peripheral vision.
- Possess the ability to hear.
- Exposure to hot and cold conditions.
- Subject to standing on hard surfaces up to 12 hours per day.
- Subject to exposure to dust, vapors, and other air contaminants (PPE required).

Pay
Sign-On Bonus: $1000/year possible for hourly manufacturing personnel.
- $150 after 2 weeks employed*
- $350 after 6 months employed**
- $500 after 12 months employed**
*Requires zero (0) tardies or unexcused absences allowed during this time period. Associate must not receive any progressive discipline per the Employee Handbook.
