About the role
This opportunity is a full-time and benefits-eligible position.
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently perform painting labor, to complete construction associated with building cruise ships.
- Aggressive work ethic with a focus on production.
- Perform surface preparation activities including, but not limited to:
- Primers (zinc and epoxy coatings).
- Intermediate coats (epoxy and urethane coatings).
- Finish coats (urethanes and antifouling coatings).
- Operate, inspect, clean, and maintain painting and blasting equipment, including:
- Blast pots.
- Blast hoses and nozzles.
- Air compressors.
- Airless and conventional spray pumps.
- Spray hoses, guns, and tips.
- Verify proper coating thickness and coverage in accordance with specifications.
- Perform touch-up and repair painting as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow directions from supervisors and foremen.
- Possess proper safety procedures at all times.
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support operational requirements.
Requirements
- One to two years of industrial, marine, construction, or related painting experience.
- Familiarity with abrasive blasting and protective coating systems.
- Knowledge of surface preparation standards and coating application techniques.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and coating equipment.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Excellent judgment and attention to detail.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
Skills
- Proficient in abrasive blasting and protective coating systems.
- Knowledgeable in surface preparation standards and coating application techniques.
- Ability to operate and maintain painting and blasting equipment.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Pay
Competitive Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour, based on experience.
$1,000 Sign-On Bonus: Paid in two installments after 60 and 180 days of continuous employment for eligible full-time positions.
Schedule
Monday – Friday: with frequent weekends
Hours: 45 - 60 hours per week.
Day Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm
Evening: 1:00pm - 9:30pm
Overtime and Weekend required based on business needs.
