About the role
Performs painting of asphalt plant equipment and related components in a safe, efficient, and quality-conscious manner.
Responsibilities
- Accomplish all daily painting production requirements and complete assigned paint tasks efficiently.
- Ensure painting assignments meet quality assurance standards, including proper material and equipment usage.
- Use paint spray equipment in various positions as well as manual painting products.
- Work at heights using ladders and personnel lift equipment.
- Maintain a neat and professional work area.
- Clock in properly on assigned jobs as appropriate.
- Maintain proper labels on day-use containers.
- Follow proper procedures for material control and disposal requirements.
- Report all spills immediately and follow proper cleanup procedures; assist with spill containment per training.
- Ensure all wastes and used oils are properly labeled at all times.
- Follow all applicable procedures for handling paint products.
- Avoid smoking or allowing sparks in the paint booth building except in approved break areas.
- Complete training and authorization to wear a respirator.
- Follow company policies, safety rules, and procedures at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to use paint spray equipment and manual painting products.
- Ability to work at heights on ladders or personnel lift equipment.
- Ability to be trained and authorized to wear a respirator.
- High school diploma or equivalent certification.
- Ability to work satisfactorily as a team member.
- Ability to meet regular attendance requirements.
