Industrial Painter

About the role

Performs painting of asphalt plant equipment and related components in a safe, efficient, and quality-conscious manner.

Responsibilities

• Accomplish all daily painting production requirements and complete assigned paint tasks efficiently.
• Ensure painting assignments meet quality assurance standards, including proper material and equipment usage.
• Use paint spray equipment in various positions as well as manual painting products.
• Work at heights using ladders and personnel lift equipment.
• Maintain a neat and professional work area.
• Clock in properly on assigned jobs as appropriate.
• Maintain proper labels on day-use containers.
• Follow proper procedures for material control and disposal requirements.
• Report all spills immediately and follow proper cleanup procedures; assist with spill containment per training.
• Ensure all wastes and used oils are properly labeled at all times.
• Follow all applicable procedures for handling paint products.
• Avoid smoking or allowing sparks in the paint booth building except in approved break areas.
• Complete training and authorization to wear a respirator.
• Follow company policies, safety rules, and procedures at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to use paint spray equipment and manual painting products.
• Ability to work at heights on ladders or personnel lift equipment.
• Ability to be trained and authorized to wear a respirator.
• High school diploma or equivalent certification.
• Ability to work satisfactorily as a team member.
• Ability to meet regular attendance requirements.
