Industrial Painter/Assembler - 1st Shift

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking an Industrial Painter/Assembler for the 1st shift in South Milwaukee, WI.

Pay

$27.30 per hour, with a $2.50/hr shift premium for off shifts. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Schedule

1st shift: 6:30 am - 2:30 pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly and painting operations on Padmount Switchgear Units
• Paint medium to large electrical switchgear, steel/aluminum enclosures, and steel accessories
• Maintain painting equipment/systems, including paint guns, hooks, regulators, reciprocators, and hydraulic units
• Perform general and preventative maintenance on equipment
• Monitor and troubleshoot line activities and application procedures to ensure process specifications are followed
• Set fluids and air pressures for equipment and monitor spray application to maintain 2-millimeter dry film thickness
• Work independently under minimal supervision
• Maintain a clean work area and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
• Operate a forklift as necessary
• Perform light to medium assembly operations

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• Minimum 1 year of experience in industrial spray painting systems OR completion of a one-year post-high school course in industrial spray painting or coating applications
• Ability to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future
• Must be within a 50-mile radius of South Milwaukee, WI (Active-Duty Military Service member candidates exempt from geographical limitation)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience reading and using drawings, routings, blueprints, specifications, part numbers, and other shop documents
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment

Skills

• Flexibility to perform multiple job functions within the department
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and SAP or similar applications
• Ability to walk/stand for an 8-hour shift with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to lift 48 lbs and push/pull 48 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
