About the role

We provide best-in-class, family-friendly scheduling for our manufacturing team, offering four 10-hour shifts and overtime Fridays. When unexpected needs arise, we work with employees to ensure they can be where and when they need to be.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and coat a variety of surfaces including steel, aluminum, and other shop coated metal, uncoated metal, finished hardware, accessories and other surfaces as specified or batch booth according to specification.
- Clean powder coat booth and guns at the end of shift and/or during color changes.
- Perform required quality checks including 1st piece, in-process, and final inspections.
- Observe output from the processes (loading, pretreatment, painting, unloading, and packaging) to ensure conformance to product specification.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance on equipment as required.
- Masking product from paint by various methods.
- Reporting machine breakdown, assisting in repair of broken or defective equipment, and assisting with the installation of new equipment.
- Maintaining accurate paint inventory records.
- Providing support to Line Operators.
- Maintaining a clean work area.
- Plugging and masking of parts as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to successfully operate: Automated electro-static paint equipment (required or preferred), handheld paint gun, hoppers, booth collection system, computer, ovens, vacuum cleaner, scales, dimensional measurement equipment (electronic and manual), color measurement equipment, light booth, paint conveyor.
- Able to read checklists, paint codes, safety logs, and other documents.
- Basic computer skills.
- Willingness to learn and train in multiple areas.
- 6-months demonstrated success using electrostatic powder and liquid painting systems, preferred.
- Knowledge of basic chemistry, preferred.
- HS Diploma or GED, preferred.
Qualifications
- English proficiency is required for safety compliance and operational needs.
- The candidate must be able to speak, read and understand English to follow equipment instructions, understand safety protocols and respond to emergency situations.
- Strong English skills are necessary for communication with team members, supervisors and other departments.

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
