About the role
Reporting to the Networking & Services Manager, the Industrial Network & Cybersecurity Specialist is a key member of the Sales team. This role focuses on business development and pre-sales application support for Kendall’s Networking & Cybersecurity Portfolio, including switches, routers, firewalls, fiber, patching, and assessments. The specialist drives revenue growth, develops sales team competency, and advances the Secure Manufacturing Network vision with customers and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Ensure consistent business development and support for Kendall account managers and customers within the designated area.
- Understand IT/OT in manufacturing and communicate effectively with both segments.
- Develop technical acumen to expand the Networking & Security initiative, including explaining standards such as CPwE, ISA, TIA, ANSI, NEMA, NEC, and NIST.
- Serve as the single point of contact for partnering manufacturers regarding Networking & Cybersecurity product lines.
- Maintain an extensive understanding of Kendall’s networking products and associated industry standards.
- Lead commercial activity and conversations at key accounts.
- Collaborate with outside sales to create, maintain, and advance a robust sales funnel.
- Meet growth targets for business revenue and strategic objectives.
- Maintain quality service by adhering to Kendall Group policies and standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in the Manufacturing and Network Technology field, including infrastructure project or IT-related experience.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Datacom & Industrial Networking standards.
- General understanding of Manufacturing Automation and Enterprise software systems (ERP, MES, CMMS, PLM, DNC, SPC, PLC, PAC, DCS).
- General understanding of data storage strategies, relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and customer service skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience selling switch, router, and firewall solutions (preferred).
- Knowledge of the Cisco portfolio (preferred).
- Additional experience in cybersecurity, including designing, deploying, or selling hardware/software solutions (preferred).
