Industrial Millwright

About the role

The Industrial Millwright position is available at the Glenwood facility in Arkansas, USA. This is a full-time permanent role.

Responsibilities

• Achieve tasks without direct supervision.
• Show proficiency in electrical equipment and theory.
• Evaluate equipment operation and provide repair recommendations.
• Adhere to safety rules and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Maintain and move machinery manually or using hoists and dollies.
• Perform basic carpentry and pipe fitting work.
• Execute welding and cutting tasks (using gas, arc-air, wire feed).
• Work at various elevations and in confined spaces within the plant.
• Replace motors, chains, sprockets, belts, and pulleys.
• Replace pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders as needed.
• Facilitate repairs and troubleshooting for machine malfunctions.
• Utilize a variety of hand and power tools.
• Follow verbal and written instructions, including PM sheets and work orders.
• Document completed work accurately.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of sawmill/heavy industry experience, with preference for sawmill experience.
• Demonstrated ability to follow safe work practices and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, drive alignment, and conveyance systems.
• Proven ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be familiar with all plant machinery and facilities.
• Must possess the ability to quickly troubleshoot mechanical problems.
• Must be able to assist in mill operation and work well with operators.
• Must be willing to work shifts, including nights.
