Industrial Mechanic
Position Overview
MP Materials is seeking a hands-on Industrial Mechanic to maintain and operate a new metal, alloy, and magnet-making facility in Fort Worth, Texas. This role is crucial for the development of a greenfield advanced manufacturing facility and shaping the future of American manufacturing.
Position Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime.
- Aid in the installation and setup of new equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of parts and supplies.
- Collaborate with production teams to address maintenance issues and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and stay current with industry advancements.
- Perform general facility maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs as needed.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and adhere to all safety protocols.
Basic Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Industrial Mechanic in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with maintenance management software is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including schematics and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as required.
