Industrial Manufacturing Electrician

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical support for chemical processing equipment, machinery, and facilities.
• Perform equipment repairs, maintenance, and equipment upgrades.
• Become an electrical systems and equipment expert in your area of responsibility.
• Effectively troubleshoot and repair equipment with high-level expertise.
• Implement established preventive maintenance program.
• Install conduit, wiring, switches, relays, lighting, circuit breakers using power tools and hand tools.
• Calibrate equipment using test equipment.
• Experience with process controls, including pneumatic controls is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical training and/or demonstrated skills/experience.
• Experience with explosion proof and intrinsically safe electrical systems up to 480V.
• Understanding of electrical codes for hazardous environments (flammable liquids).
• Able to read electrical and instrument drawings.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and maintenance software.
• Excellent safety record – prioritizes safety in all work.
• Good team player, able to work effectively with other trades and with changing priorities.
• Dependable, good attendance.
• Significant physical demands including walking, standing, climbing stairs, ladders, etc.
• Indoor and outdoor work.
• Use of appropriate personal protective equipment required.

Requirements

High school diploma. Electrical apprentice program and/or equivalent plus demonstrated work experience.

Work Hours

Monday – Friday, 8-hour days (40 hours/week). Willing to work some overtime, as needed, to support production and capital projects.

Pay

$32.00 - $45.00 per hour
