Position Summary

Perform all duties of the Maintenance Position, along with electrical maintenance, with the primary objective of maintaining all machinery, equipment, and facilities. Proficient in installing and repairing electrical systems, apparatus, and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment. Possesses intermediate boiler knowledge with the ability to maintain boilers, piping, supporting electrical systems, and surrounding physical structures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Scheduled and preventative maintenance on equipment and building.
  • Read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics as necessary.
  • Use precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.
  • Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment; connect cables and wires between machines and equipment.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replace damaged or broken wires and cables.
  • Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.
  • Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to identify problem locations.
  • Dismantle and reassemble equipment that requires repair.
  • Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
  • Assist others on their machines as needed.
  • Act as a liaison with vendors when necessary.
  • Set up machinery, make necessary adjustments, and monitor equipment to ensure efficient and effective operation.
  • Perform emergency, scheduled, minor, and preventative maintenance on all machines and the building.
  • Observe all safety policies and procedures, including lock‑out/tag‑out (LOTO).
  • Work in excess of 40 hours as business needs arise.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform any other task or duty deemed necessary by management.

Work Environment / Physical Demands

  • Fast‑paced environment requiring adaptation to continuous changes.
  • Use hands for fine manipulation, feeling, talking, or hearing.
  • Frequent standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, climbing, balancing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, repetitive foot movement, crouching, and crawling.
  • Regularly lift up to 20 lb.; occasionally lift 20‑35 lb.; rarely lift more than 35 lb.; lifts over 50 lb. require team or mechanical assistance.
  • Vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Systems usage: ERP system Kiwi and ADP Workforce Now.

Qualifications

  • GED or high school diploma (preferred).
  • Minimum age: 18 years.
  • Advanced electrical knowledge and qualification by maintenance exam or equivalent experience.

Schedule

This is a weekend shift, working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (36‑hour work week).
