About the role

You will assess, fix, and repair manufacturing and facilities equipment issues. This includes researching technical data, procuring parts, performing hands-on repairs, and assisting in the coordination of contractor support.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a “Safety First/Safety Always” attitude and perform job duties to the highest quality standards.
  • Coordinate, support, and perform daily maintenance activities, including reactive, preventative, proactive, project, and setup support.
  • Use the CMMS to document maintenance actions and assist in training fellow mechanics/technicians on its proper use.
  • Analyze maintenance issues and trends to make improvement recommendations.
  • Communicate effectively with associates at all levels and assist in coordinating maintenance resources.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager or Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree, Trade School, or Online Maintenance Coursework Certificate, or military technical training preferred.
  • Strong electrical skills and ability to use electrical test equipment like multi-meters, meggers, or specialized test equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical prints and schematics (PLC programming, robotics, and vacuum systems experience is a plus).
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to use standard tools, including hand and machine tools, test equipment, read and interpret mechanical drawings, and operate basic shop machinery.
  • 5+ years of experience working in and around electro-mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Visual acuity to inspect equipment, read labels and documentation, and physical ability to stand for most of the day (5-8 hours a day) and work on raised surfaces and climb stairs or ladders.

Qualifications

  • Legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
  • The position requires an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
