Industrial Maintenance Mechanic - Pallet Manufacturing

Location: Jacksonville, FL 32254

Shift: 1st Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Pay Range: $26.00-$30.00/hr (Based on Experience)

About the Role

As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll combine the roles of an electrician, carpenter, plumber, and inventory manager to manage and maintain multiple types of equipment within our wood pallet manufacturing plant. This role is vital to keeping our operation running at the highest efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Inspect wiring, make repairs, and troubleshoot all plant equipment as necessary
• Respond urgently to all maintenance needs to ensure plant operations run smoothly
• Completely learn existing and new equipment within the plant
• Other projects as necessary

Requirements

• 3 years of experience handling Production Automation Equipment
• Experience with basic plumbing, basic electrical wiring, and basic carpentry
• Low Voltage Electrical experience required
• Attention to detail to ensure all jobs and tasks are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked
• Ability to work in extreme conditions including elements, heat, cold, and air particulate
• Must be able to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths in time
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision
