Industrial Maintenance Mechanic - Level C
Primary Purpose
At Mountaire, Maintenance Mechanics play a vital role in keeping operations running smoothly by ensuring equipment and machinery are in top condition. Level C Mechanics handle routine preventative maintenance and repairs while building a foundation for a long-term career.
Essential Job Functions And Duties
- Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual and sound inspection.
- Install, assemble, and test new machines and equipment.
- Complete work orders as assigned.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Adhere to all safety requirements, including personal protective equipment (PPE), preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions.
- Follow lockout-tagout procedures and process safety management related matters.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or vocational training.
- Entry-level general maintenance with 0–3 years' previous work-related experience, including on-the-job and informal training.
- Understands the basic theory, practical knowledge, and skills to function as an entry-level mechanic safely and successfully.
- Demonstrated proven ability in at least one of the following technical skill areas:
- Maintenance Fundamentals
- Electrical Power
- Mechanical Concepts
- Electrical Controls
- Pneumatics
- Hydraulics
- Analog & Drive Control
- PLCs
- Welding SMAW
- Welding GTAW
