About the role

Dolphin, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Mechanic to keep all production machines, systems, and equipment throughout the facility in optimal operating condition. Perform preventative maintenance and assist production operators as needed with machine job set-up. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment as required.

Schedule

Full-time position (40 hours a week). Monday–Thursday, 12:00 PM–10:30 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical equipment, including but not limited to large gas-fired equipment, boilers, HVAC, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and control systems.
  • Develop, fabricate, and install various changes to machines as needed to improve operational performance or correct operational deficiencies.
  • Complete all maintenance service requests as assigned.
  • Install electrical conduit, air, and chilled water piping for machinery and equipment.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance inspections to identify and correct equipment malfunctions, repairs, and replacements.
  • Provide assistance to assemble, test, and maintain company equipment.
  • Propose improvements to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
  • Adapt to various maintenance situations and work in all major production areas in a maintenance capacity.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous manner with all vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with the quality system.
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various types of industrial machines.
  • Basic welding and fabrication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic system prints and schematics.
  • Understanding of metal fabrication processes: sheet metal, machining, welding.
  • Ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
  • Knowledge and ability to use small hand tools.
  • Intermediate level of computer literacy, including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and internet browsers.
  • Must possess own hand tools, multi-meter, and cart/toolbox.
