About the role

The Industrial Maintenance Technician will oversee machinery maintenance personnel and conduct higher level control systems trouble shooting and maintenance on industrial equipment, as well as minor and major repairs to equipment. This will include Preventative and reactive maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain work area; maintain all equipment in a clean, safe working condition.
  • Follow all instructions and company guidelines based upon management structure.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and extensive repairs as directed by manufacturer recommendations.
  • Use and manage CMMS (Computer maintenance Management software) is required.
  • Repair equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications and established lockout/tag out procedures.
  • Maintain and complete all equipment inspections and procedures. Log and communicate through the CMMS program.
  • Assist if required in Facilities maintenance issues such as, Plumbing, racking, Lighting and general building repairs.
  • Maintain tools and repair equipment in the safest manner possible, inspecting equipment daily.
  • Repair equipment in compliance with established Safety, DOT and other compliance monitoring when involving any Fleet related vehicles.
  • Monitor, maintain, and update machinery equipment parts inventory as needed and log into CMMS.
  • Comply with Company’s attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance. required for all jobs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.
  • Adheres to Company’s commitment to workplace safety.

Qualifications

  • High School or GED required.
  • Additional training courses in related fields demonstrating extensive level of knowledge and skill may be necessary.
  • Preferred tech accreditation for controls systems and electrical experience.
  • Welding certifications preferred but not required. Minimum structural welding certification D1.1 position 1G at minimum. Electrical accreditation for industrial electrical not required but preferred. 110VAC through 480VAC.
  • No less than 3 year of industrial machinery / conveyor system maintenance or like systems in an industrial Environment.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Welding experience Required (SMAW, GMAW) at minimum. Proficient in welding processes and mid to high level understanding of metallurgy and structural welding.
  • 1 – 3 years of fabrication experience preferred but not required.
  • Heavy understanding of electronics, including 24v systems, 110VAC through 480VAC. Must understand commercial systems and electrical power routing and repair.
  • Experience with conveyor systems, gears and chain systems and major understanding of maintenance adjustments and repairs.
  • Operate forklift and any other industrial equipment required.
  • Able to read and understand electrical and structural blueprints preferred.
  • Must be proficient in computer system operation.
  • Forklift Certification preferred upon hire and more than 1 year hands on experience.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of HMI computer systems, controls systems and industrial machinery operation and repair.
  • Mid to high level understanding of welding and welding processes.
