About the role

We are seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic with intermediate to advanced maintenance skills. This role involves facilities and equipment maintenance, including electrical work, control system wiring, fabrication, tool room machining, welding, and troubleshooting. You will supervise Maintenance Tech 1 personnel and work with minimal supervision while demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities for mechanical, fabrication, and electrical issues.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mid-level to complex electrical repairs, including three-phase systems.
  • Install and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Conduct fabrication maintenance and repairs on equipment such as milling machines, heat treat ovens, walk-in freezers, hydraulic presses, air compressors, and vacuum pumps.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks throughout the facility, including forklift maintenance.
  • Supervise Maintenance Tech 1 personnel in accomplishing maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop area per company Ultraclean/6S requirements.
  • Perform maintenance tasks at heights up to 35 feet using scissor-lifts, genie booms, and forklifts.
  • Adhere to safety requirements and use all required safety equipment.
  • Be available for overtime, including on-call and weekend work as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or technical certifications preferred. Candidates without a diploma or equivalency may be required to take a pre-employment assessment.
  • 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing production equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices related to industrial maintenance.
  • Average reading skills with the ability to comprehend and retain information.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Exposure to noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud.
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on the manufacturing floor, including eye, ear, and foot protection.
  • May occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-50 pounds.
