Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

About the role

This position is based at the PCA Box Plant in Lithonia, GA. The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic will perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on plant equipment. Technicians work as part of a team to safely perform preventive maintenance and respond to breakdowns in a production environment. All Maintenance Technician positions are multicraft, and training is provided to develop these skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, or replace mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on plant equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance activities.
• Respond to breakdown calls in a production environment.
• Work as part of a maintenance team to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
• Technical degree in mechanical or electrical trades is a plus.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Experience in the corrugated packaging industry is a plus.

Pay

Pay range: $25.00 - $38.00 per hour, based on mechanical and electrical skills and experience. Overtime pay includes:

• 1.5x pay for hours over 8 in a day and over 40 in a week.
• 1.5x pay for Saturday and Sunday shifts.
• 1.5x pay for holidays, plus additional overtime for hours over 8 on holidays.

Schedule

The production schedule operates on 3 shifts. Maintenance Technicians are placed on shifts based on plant needs and seniority, with opportunities to change shifts when organizational or production schedule changes occur.
