Industrial Maintenance MechanicHamburg, NY | $28–$35 per hour, based on experience | Full-time Direct hire or contract-to-hireAn established food manufacturer is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to keep production equipment running safely and reliably. Enjoy a daytime start, varied mechanical work, and direct collaboration with the Maintenance Manager and maintenance team.Heavy industrial manufacturing experience is required. Food industry experience is a plus—not a requirement.ScheduleMonday–Friday starting at 8 a.m., with finish times generally between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m., depending on maintenance needs. Approximately 4–6 hours of Saturday preventive maintenance are also required.What You’ll DoTroubleshoot breakdowns, repair production machinery, and verify safe operation.Maintain mechanical systems, drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical equipment.Complete preventive maintenance, inspections, and work orders.Assist with equipment installations and plant utility maintenance.Track maintenance parts and request replacements.What You’ll Bring5+ years of hands-on equipment repair experience in heavy industrial manufacturing.Practical mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical troubleshooting skills.Experience with preventive maintenance, work orders, and maintenance-parts inventory.A dependable employment record with clear explanations of career transitions.Availability for onsite work, extended weekday hours, and Saturday maintenance.Knowledge of safe equipment shutdown, isolation, and startup procedures.Preferred: Food or packaging equipment experience, industrial welding or plumbing, and Spanish-language skills.
