Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

About the role

Furst-McNess Company is seeking a full-time Maintenance Mechanic at their Lodi, WI location. Second shift (1 opening): Monday - Friday, shift times between noon - 4pm, see more details about available afternoon shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production, packaging, and warehouse equipment, vehicles, and facility systems
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical (including basic 3-phase), hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Support fabrication, welding, plumbing, carpentry, and minor construction or modification projects as needed
• Maintain maintenance records, preventative maintenance schedules, and parts inventory
• Safely operate and maintain tools, forklifts, pallet jacks, lifts, and other equipment
• Complete facility and grounds upkeep tasks as needed (lighting, painting, snow removal, general repairs)
• Follow all safety guidelines, wear required PPE, equipment lockout/tagout, and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements
• Absorb and complete improvement projects that enhance safety, quality, productivity, or compliance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in maintenance, welding, electrical, or related trades preferred
• 2 years of maintenance mechanic experience in a production, manufacturing, warehouse, or agricultural environment preferred
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Ability to read basic blueprints and schematics
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and communicate equipment issues clearly
• Forklift certification preferred; willingness to obtain required equipment certifications with company support
• Willingness and ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout the year
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs., work at heights, and perform physical tasks in an industrial environment
