Industrial Machine Operator - 1st shift - Bonus available

About the role

This very active position will operate heat treatment equipment under moderate supervision, specializing in stainless steel surface hardening (Kolsterising) processing of customer parts. You will independently operate, control, and monitor heat treating units as required by written standard procedures on shop traveler and/or customer paperwork. Responsibilities include preparing work for processing, loading and unloading furnaces, bins, fixtures, and baskets, and bringing any unusual problems or irregularities to the attention of a supervisor. The role promotes safety, good housekeeping, and allows for cross-training and development of additional skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate heat treatment equipment, including furnaces and related machinery.
• Prepare work for processing; load and unload furnaces, bins, fixtures, baskets, etc.
• Monitor and control heat treating units according to written standard procedures.
• Bring unusual problems or irregularities to the attention of a supervisor.
• Practice and promote safety and good housekeeping.
• Cross-train and develop additional skills as opportunities arise.

Requirements

• Must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holder.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-10 years of experience operating complex machines or processes in an industrial environment.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours per week.
• 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday – Friday.
