Responsibilities
- Identify, pull, and label Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A copper and fiber optic cables
- Install support structures such as J-hooks, support rings, cable slings, and cable trays/ladder racks
- Work in an industrial plant environment
- Familiar with EIA/TIA standards
- Exposure to closet dressing, termination of closet equipment, and multi-pair color code terminations
- Termination experience with multi-pair standard cable and experience with both ends of basic level testing as well as high-level testing and documentation
- Read blueprints, identify cable paths, and have some experience with site surveys
- Demonstrate understanding of all field safety requirements and understanding of use and function of all required personal protective equipment
Qualifications
- Good communication skills to interface directly with customers
- Valid driver’s license
- Pass a hair drug test
- Pass a background check
- TWIC card required
- Fiber and rigid conduit experience a plus
